Learn the essentials of creating an appealing children's book for the contemporary market with multi-award winning author and illustrator team, Diane and Christyan Fox, who have created over 50 international-selling children’s books. A beginner-to-intermediate course, helping you to develop written ideas or illustrations and showing you how to create a book dummy or prepare a manuscript for a publisher.

Course Creative Sketchbook - Drawing and Mixed Media

Course Exploring Drawing

An introduction to the techniques of drawing in its widest form from pencils, graphite, pastel and pen. All levels are welcome.

Beginners and returners from previous classes will benefit from developing their skills. The course is structured using projects that are designed to develop visual awareness as well as techniques that can help link eye and hand coordination.

Course Exploring Watercolour

Course Life Drawing

Take great photographs! This introduction to photography course helps you to make the most of your camera, move beyond the auto settings, and explore new creative possibilities. We cover key principles in photography, including camera exposure, composition, landscape photography, camera lenses and portrait photography.

Suitable for beginners and for more experienced photographers looking for a refresher course. All you need to bring is a SLR camera or compact camera with manual features (digital and film cameras are welcome).

Workshop 3-D Paper Cutting new

For those that have done 2D paper cutting this is the next stage. However, don’t worry if you’re a beginner as you will quickly get up to speed. Be inspired by a wide range of cut out artefacts including Polish paper cuts as well as numerous art works, photos and resource sheets. Workshop Festive Creative Paper Cutting

The ancient art of paper cutting brought bang up to date! Be inspired by a wide range of cut out artefacts including Polish paper cuts, Haitian metal work and wooden fret work as well as numerous art works, photos and resource sheets. Workshop Handmade Soap Making Workshop

Saturday 2 December 2017

10am–4pm

Learn the basics of melt and pour soap making. Experiment with colour mixing to create large block soaps with embeds that can be sliced and cut in a variety of ways and also try cutting out small coloured and fragranced guest soaps. Watch demonstrations of layering, modelling and scrolling techniques and then express your own individual creativity under the close supervision of the workshop tutor. All soaps will be gift packaged at the end of the session ready to give as gifts or to keep!

  • Train: Waterloo to Teddington (33 minutes), then just over 10 minutes' signposted walk
  • Bus: R68, 281, 285 all stop outside the Centre; 33 via Waldegrave Road
  • Tube: District line to Richmond and then bus R68
  • Cycle: on-site parking for up to 12 bicycles
  • Car: no parking on site but free parking in surrounding streets.

  • By post: send an SAE and a cheque payable to ‘Landmark Arts Centre’ to our address.

Please note…

  • Booking fees: a £1 fee applies to all card transactions; a 50p postage fee applies if you wish to have your tickets posted and haven’t supplied an SAE.
  • Refunds: we cannot refund tickets or class bookings unless the event or class is full and we are able to re-sell the ticket / class place. An admin. fee of £1 will be deducted from the refund.
