Art School Watercolour
– Learn Turner’s Techniques
Monday 2–Wednesday 4 August 2010
Time: 10.00am-4.00pm
Tutor: Bob Meecham
This 3 day workshop will study Turner’s watercolour techniques by drawing on an exhibition at Tate Britain. The workshop will start with a visit and guided talk at Tate Britain followed by two full days at the Landmark to learn hands on through demonstration and practice.

Open to all abilities, this Summer Art Drawing 3 day workshop will explore different drawing techniques. Topics include proportion, shapes, light and shadows. You will be encouraged to experiment with a range of different media and styles.

Working from a life model to develop skills of observation and to experiment with a range of methods. Explore angles, gestures and develop your skills with a range of different poses. Previous experience not essential, however some knowledge of drawing would be helpful. 3 day workshop.

– Drawing and Watercolour

This intermediate, two day workshop aims to develop techniques in Botanical Art and Illustration with an emphasis on accurate depiction and realistic representation. Flowers, foliage and plants are observed and step-by-step demonstrations are included.

This one day workshop offers an introduction to the art of drawing and painting in watercolour flowers, foliage and plants. The workshop is led by Marcia Hughes, a renowned local artist and an experienced tutor in this field. Ideal for beginners and for those with a little experience.
