We’re sorry to announce that the previously advertised performance of Schumanns’ the cello concerto will now be replaced by his equally brilliant Symphony No. 3 in this concert celebrating the friendship of two great romantic composers: Schumann and Brahms.

An atmospheric tone poem, The Enchanted Lake, by the Russian composer Liadov sets the scene, and the programme concludes with Brahms’ crowning masterpiece – his Fourth Symphony, which blends majestic pathos with moments of exuberant joy.
