An interactive exploration with The Musical Brain.` Discover how Neanderthals used their voices to navigate caves, how the voice evolved, what happens in your brain when you sing and how singing with others improves your health and wellbeing and makes you and Grandma happy.

Part of the national Fun Palaces weekend – a free celebration of culture, arts and science at the heart of our communities.

Local poet Alison Hill launches her new collection of poems Sisters in Spitfires, which explores the little-known story of Britain's World War II female pilots.

Together with music from the fabulously authentic and gorgeous close vocal harmony trio, The Spitfire Sisters, this will be a very special 1940s inspired evening. So come and party like its 1941 – there’ll be a prize for the best dressed couple!
