Beatbox and Beyond – rhythm and the art of mouth drumming (1-day)

Ages 12 and over – no experience required.

Whether you’ve always wanted to learn how to beatbox, or you’re looking to improve your sense of rhythm as a singer or ensemble, this session is for you. We’ll begin with rhythm warmups and games as we discover “the drummer within” – our inner sense of pulse and groove. Next comes basic beatbox sounds, followed by more advanced sounds and patterns. Finally we combine sounds to create grooves, transforming ourselves into one massive rhythm machine!
