Creative Collage

Open to all adults no experience needed.

This course is open to everybody. You do not need to be able to draw to enjoy this course. A fun vibrant course where students will gain the confidence in exploratory work and collage to aid them in further creative endeavours. This course will explore the creative process of collage story telling by combining a variety of techniques, using handmade papers, painting, stencilling, print and stitch along with found images and personal photographs to create a beautiful A3 artwork portraying a unique story.

Week 1: Introduction and techniques painting, printing, texture and line, creating reference sheets.
Week 2: Explore and create collage papers with pattern, print, stencilling, text and stitch.
Week 3 : Assemble small exploratory collages
Week 4: Discuss narrative for artwork, Introduction of personal or referenced photographic imagery, space and scale.
Week 5: Artwork construction
Week 6: Artwork completion & conclusion

Materials
Resources are included, however, you will need to bring in any photographs, found imagery, magazine cuttings or sketches that are personal to you.
