Impressions – A Day at the Gallery
Dance
Date: 8 December 2024
The School of Dance Mortlake is very happy to be returning for a fourth time to the Landmark Arts Centre with another evening of entertainment.
Our show this year is entitled Impressions – A Day at the Gallery and we are taken on a magical journey through the world of art. A group of school children spend the day at an art gallery with their teacher. While looking at the pictures one of the children is enthralled at the beauty of what she sees, and falls back from the group. She imagines the paintings coming to life, and watches in wonder as each tells a story of its own, from the comical crabs by Vincent van Gogh, through the Equatorial Jungle by Henri Rousseau to The Great Wave by Hokusai. Works of Monet, Vermeer, Constable, Banksy and other paintings dance before her eyes.
Come and join us on her magical journey where Dance meets Art.
