What better way to document your year that in stitch! A chance to learn a new skill or to develop your embroidery skills. These sessions will start with embroidering the year 2024.
You will explore a range of different embroidery techniques such as ribbon work, goldwork and silk shading, which can be used to add small designs to personalise your very own year in stitch!
The classes will be run from 1.15pm to 3.15 pm for 9 weeks, until the Landmark Textiles Fair – where you will have the chance to display your work in progress.
Learn how to transfer the designs onto the fabric, how to plan stitches and how to embroidery each little design. This project can be then continued in the class after Easter, or outside of classes at your own time and pace.
Materials
A kit (which includes a piece of linen, some needles and threads along with some designs to get you started) is included in the price.
Additional threads can be brought during the class, or you can use your own.
Please bring your own seat embroidery frame and/or embroidery scissors (if you have one), or you can borrow from the tutor.
