Open to all adults – with an interest in printmaking.
Over the 6 week class you will learn to create a multi-block lino-print. This will enable you to print in at least two or more colours. You will create a key lino block with your detail and the second block you will carve out to enable you to use colours in your prints.
You will also learn how to create a registration board that will enable you to print successfully. During the course you will also learn how to design, transfer your image to lino and then safely use lino cutting tools, the correct method for sharpening your tools, use of inks, and selection of papers. This workshop is very practical and to help you get the most out of the session it is recommended you come with some simple ideas to help maximise your time. You will have 1-1 time with the tutor and there will be demonstrations to support you throughout.
