Workshop: The Landmark Approach to Music Theory [SAS22]

Start Time: 11.15am

Top up your theory skills in a fun way with our experienced tutor who will explore a different grade in each session. Knowing your music theory is essential if you wish to progress beyond Grade 5 with your Associated Board of the Royal School of Music instrumental examinations. Past papers will be supplied and marked.

Level, dates & costs:

GRADE 1: Wednesday 17 August,  10.00am – 11.15am (£19)

GRADE 2: Wednesday 17 August,  11.45am – 1.00pm (£19)

GRADE 3: Thursday 18 August,  10.30am – 12.00pm (£25)

GRADE 4: Thursday 18 August,  2.30pm – 4.30pm (£30)

GRADE 5: Friday 19 August,  10.30am – 12.30pm (£30) ** Note there is a discount when you book all 5 classes **

Suitable for children (from 8 y.o.)

Materials List: 

Please bring a pencil and rubber or pen. Manuscript paper will be provided.

Tutor:

Joan Child is an experienced classroom music teacher. She taught music to A level in two secondary schools, then moved on to advisory work, primary and secondary, for the London Borough of Harrow. She later led the Kingston Music Service for 14 years. She is presently involved with two adult orchestras, playing viola and violin and helping with their programmes and organization.
