Needle Felting Fairy

Open to all adults no experience required.
You will learn techniques for sculpting and shaping wool fibres using a barbed needle to create intricate angelic/fairy figures. You will learn how to select appropriate wool, create basic shapes, refine details and add finishing touches to your needle-felted angels/fairies.
• Introduction to needle felting materials and tools.
• Basics of shaping and sculpting wool fibres.
• Techniques for creating angelic/fairy features like wings.
• Adding details and refining the overall design.
• Tips for blending colours and creating unique textures.
• Guidance on assembling and finishing the needle-felted angel/angel.
• Troubleshooting common challenges in the needle felting process.
• The goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of needle felting while specifically focusing on creating angelic/fairy figure.
Materials provided:
Wool roving in various colours.
Felting needles with different gauges for sculpting and detailing.
Foam pad or mat to protect surfaces and facilitate needle penetration.
Scissors for cutting wool.
Wire or pipe cleaners for structural support.
Fishing wire and needle to create loop to hang figure.
Embellishments like beads or sequins for additional details.
Participants are asked to bring:
Reference images or templates for angel designs.
