Half term Course: Sound Art & Multimedia

There will be lots of fun learning during half-term for 7–14-year-olds during our Sound Art & Multi-media School which is perfect for curious young minds who like to experiment and explore unconventional ways of using sound & multimedia.  The course runs from 24-26 October 10 am – 4 pm and includes puppet making with found objects, creating and animating a story, staging a show using varius mediums (including theatre, video and photography). A showcase performance will take place at the end of the course.

Participants will experiment and collaborate utilising their own playfulness and inquisitiveness. They will socialise, learn new skills and engage in multiple processes, creating their own work.

Tutors: Paola Estrella (Multimedia Artist) & Jess Williams (Performing Arts Practitioner & Youth Theatre Director)

Paola Estrella is a multimedia artist born in Mexico City and based in London. She works with painting, mixed media, video, installation, and performance. Speculative fiction and self-discovery are central to her practice through which she conveys notions of intimacy, desire, and becoming.

Jess Williams is a performing arts practitioner based in London, with over 13 years of experience in delivering workshops to children and young people aged 4-18. Her specialism is inclusive and physical theatre, exploring storytelling through the use of mime, movement and ensemble. She is leading workshops on a variety of theatre practitioners and performance styles, ranging from Stanislavski to puppets and radio plays.
