Park Art Competition Exhibition
Exhibitions
Date: 12 September 2024 - Sun 15 September 2024
Doors open: 10am-4pm
Over the summer, local artists have been capturing their “inspiring elements” of either Bushy or Home Park in the first Park Art competition, run in partnership between the Friends of Bushy and Home Parks (FBHP) and Landmark Art Centre. The competition is now closed, and the entries are now being judged and the shortlisted winners will be exhibited at the Landmark 12-15 September 10am – 4pm.
Awards/Winners will be announced at a special opening between 5-7pm on Saturday 14th September.
We invite everyone to come along and vote for their favourite artwork for the “People’s Choice Award” over the first three days of the exhibition. With potentially over 100 pieces of work to choose from, this could be a difficult choice. In addition, the judges will be awarding prizes in the both the children and adult classes. All the winners and highly commended will be announced on Saturday 14th Sept at 5pm at a VIP reception. Special thanks to Teddington Lottery, Colicci and Cass Art who have provided the generous prizes.
The exhibition will also have the winners from this year’s FBHP Photographic Calendar Competition. Plus there will be 40 stunning park wildlife photos showing the more secretive and hidden aspect, captured by Sue Lindenberg, John Strachan, Cathy Cooper and Rebecca Harvey. There will also be some special events over the weekend to make this a real celebration of nature and the parks that we enjoy. This exhibition will be an event not to be missed.
