SPARKLE: Lino Print Christmas Card

Open to all adults with little or no experience. FREE ACCESS TO SPARKLE FAIR.

This is a fun workshop, there will be time for some Christmas cheer with a hot drink and a mince pie.

In this workshop you will learn:- how to design a simple lino print Christmas card design, – how to transfer this on to lino block, and – how to use lino cutting tools to carve out your festive design. You will then print in either red, green or black by using hand or a shared table-top printing press.

You will leave with 10 Christmas cards and envelopes.

This workshop is very practical and to help you get the most out of the session it is recommended you come with some simple festive ideas to help maximise your time. You will have 1-1 time with the tutor and there will be demonstrations to support you throughout.

Material:
Materials included: 10 Blank Cards to print on, tools to use, Lino block to carve your print, tracing paper, inks.
Bring an apron as it can get messy
No open toed shoes as you are in a workshop with sharp tools
You will need some ideas for simple design for your Christmas card
