The Secret Lives of Books – A talk about book art
Sarah Bodman
If you are new to artists’ books Sarah will show some examples from the CFPR Archive of what they might be: from literature inspired book objects and wordplay to works inspired by nature, travel, music, touch, instructions…
If you are already interested in these works of art as a collector or maker – or both, then please come along too and see if there is something new to discover. We’ll have a Q&A session after the talk.
Sarah Bodman is an artist and researcher at the Centre For Print Research, UWE, Bristol, UK. Sarah is also Programme Leader for the MA Multidisciplinary Printmaking course at UWE. She is editor of the Artist’s Book Yearbook, Book Arts Newsletter and The Blue Notebook journal for artists’ books.
