Tapestry Eco Weaving Taster

Perfect for adults and teens 16yrs + with no experience and those who wish to further develop their weaving skills.
Learn how to create a your own small woven artwork using simple woven tapestry techniques and your surplus yarn stash! Working on pre warped looms you will create woven images, these could be a simple meadow or landscape inspired piece, or you could simply learn woven tapestry techniques to create you’re own abstract sample. We will use a selection of fibres and yarns that are good quality second hand/surplus waste fibres.
All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own yarns to incorporate in your piece if you wish.
• Learn weft faced weaving using woven tapestry techniques.
• Explore how to create an image using waste/surplus fibres.
• Be creative with colour and texture.
Materials provided:
Ready warped tapestry frame looms and equipment. Scissors. A selection of wools, yarns and materials. Participants are asked to bring: Any yarns from your own stash if you wish to use anything specific.
