The Joy of Storytelling

ONE-OFF: Wed 15 May, 7-9.30pm

Open to all adults – no experience required. An introduction to the ancient art of traditional storytelling.

This workshop introduces the joy and power of traditional, oral storytelling. We will explore some key concepts involved in learning, interpreting and telling stories in fun and engaging ways. At the end of the workshop we will tell a traditional folk tale together.

You will go home equipped with increased confidence and tools to tell stories to your friends and family. Please note that this workshop involves participation in interactive activities.

Materials
Student will need a notebook and a pen

Tutor
Emma Charlton is a storyteller and educator, with a particular love of folk, fairy and nature-based tales, having trained with renowned storyteller Roi Gal-Or at the School of Storytelling at Emerson College.
