See the Landmark in a New Light. Journey Through Time.

This September, internationally acclaimed artists Luxmuralis transform the Landmark Arts Centre into a spectacular immersive sound and light experience.

Presented as the Landmark concludes its 30th anniversary celebrations and begins marking 130 years since the foundation stone of this historic building was laid, TIME transforms our much-loved local landmark into a spectacular canvas for a journey through history, science and imagination.

As darkness falls, monumental projections fill the Landmark’s soaring architecture, accompanied by an atmospheric soundscape that surrounds you within the space.

About the Experience

TIME is an extraordinary exploration of humanity’s relationship with time, taking audiences on a journey through history, science and imagination.

The experience takes place entirely within the Landmark’s spectacular main space, where monumental projections transform the walls, arches and soaring architecture around you, accompanied by an immersive soundscape.

Through a sequence of captivating projected artworks, audiences journey across different eras, encountering theories of relativity and the writings of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine.

Traverse wormholes, venture inside the intricate workings of clocks and experience a dramatic narrative that travels from the present day back towards the very beginning of everything. The journey ultimately reaches the formation of our planet, creating a profound and awe-inspiring conclusion to this unique experience.

Visitors are free to move around the space and experience the projections from different viewpoints, or find a position and watch the complete cycle, which lasts approximately 35 minutes.

About Luxmuralis

Luxmuralis is the artistic collaboration of sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper, internationally recognised for creating immersive fine art, light and sound installations in historic buildings and public spaces across the UK and beyond.

Their spectacular installations have transformed some of the country’s most iconic buildings and heritage sites, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Chatsworth House and numerous cathedrals, museums and historic landmarks.

Their work combines monumental projected imagery with atmospheric soundscapes, transforming familiar architecture and allowing audiences to experience extraordinary spaces in an entirely new way.
