Wellbeing: Pencil Box Making
Other
ONE-OFF: Mon 11 Mar, 5.30-9pm
Open to all adults – no experience required.
Box making is a useful and fun addition to your bookmaking skills. No previous experience is necessary, but you will need to be reasonably nimble with your fingers and confident using a sharp craft knife.
In this one-off workshop you will learn how to make a beautiful pencil box to take home with you and the skills to make other boxes at home.
Materials
All materials will be provided.
However, participants must bring a sharp craft knife with a fresh blade (something like a Stanley knife is preferable to a scalpel for cutting the grey board). Participants will also find a small bookmaking steel triangle (such as that available from the London Centre for Book Arts) very useful.
