Carve a Spatula for Christmas: Crafting from Green Wood

This workshop celebrates the beauty of simple, mindful craftsmanship. You’ll learn to shape natural wood into something both useful and enduring – ideal as a Christmas gift.

Workshop time: 6:30-9:30pm (3 hours)

Experience the satisfaction of making something truly useful with your own hands. Starting with a freshly felled log, you’ll learn to carve a spatula using only an axe and knife, guided step by step by our expert tutor.

You’ll develop safe and effective carving techniques, gain confidence with traditional hand tools, and leave with a beautiful, functional spatula. This could be perfect for your kitchen or as a thoughtful handmade gift for the Christmas season. All tools and materials are provided.

Who’s this workshop for?
Suitable for adults aged 16+ who enjoy hands-on making, traditional crafts or learning practical skills. No prior experience needed.

Materials and requirements
All materials and tools are provided: lime wood blanks, carving knives, and safety equipment are included. Carving tools will also be available to purchase after the session. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes for safety.
