Do you have an idea for a short story or novel you’d like to develop further? Would you like to share your work with other writers? Would you simply like to learn more about the craft of writing?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, this introductory course would be perfect for you! Every week, we’ll write and share our work with fellow students in a safe and supportive environment. We’ll think about the craft of writing, considering areas such as setting, characterisation, dialogue, point of view, plot, pace and more.
You don’t need any previous writing experience to join the course, just a passion for the written word.

About the tutor
Elizabeth Bazalgette is a passionate creative writing tutor with several years’ teaching experience. She holds a teaching diploma, an MA in Creative Writing, and a BA in Humanities. She is particularly fascinated by the short story as a form and is currently working on a novel. Alongside this, she has a long-standing interest in creative non-fiction and occasionally writes poetry.
Committed to expanding horizons through the written word, Elizabeth believes creativity is most rewarding when explored in the company of like-minded people, and she brings this ethos into her teaching.
