Description:
Explore belly dance in this welcoming movement workshop for all levels. Through guided exercises, you’ll learn belly dance movements while exploring rhythm, posture, breathing and how your body moves.
The workshop focuses on building body awareness, mobility and alignment, while giving you space to enjoy movement and express yourself creatively. No previous belly dance experience is needed.
Materials Provided:
All workshop materials will be provided.
What to Bring:
Please bring a yoga mat for floor-based somatic exercises and wear comfortable clothing.
Optional:
Water bottle
Shawl
Hip scarf (for comfort and embodiment practices)
Tutor Bio:
Paloma Durante is a Brazilian artist, writer, and educator working at the intersection of art and pedagogy. Her practice explores embodied and participatory learning through performance, somatic research, and experimental writing. She develops workshops and laboratories that invite participants to engage with the body as a site of knowledge, focusing on touch, movement, perception, and collective experience. Her work has been presented internationally through residencies and independent projects in Brazil and the UK, creating spaces for creative inquiry, shared learning, and sensory-based artistic exploration.
