Small World – Making Miniature Worlds
Workshops
Date: Sat 21 March 2026
Start Time: 15:00
Class in the Bell Room (accessible)
Book placeExplore how we look, and how we are looked at, through miniature worlds, textiles, and everyday objects in this 90-minute workshop.
The session begins with a short introduction to the tutor’s practice, followed by a hands-on making activity using recycled materials to create miniature scenes. Participants will then bring their small worlds together to build a shared landscape.
There is no fixed final result; the focus is on process, play, and curiosity. This session encourages joy in miniature world-making while gently questioning the ways we frame and observe others in a playful and reflective experience.
All materials provided. The session is suitable for all abilities, and participants will leave with practical miniature-making skills and a completed scene. No previous experience is required, just imagination.
