Description:
Explore sustainable printmaking techniques using recycled Tetra Pak materials in this practical hands-on workshop. Participants will create their own print designs before using a shared tabletop printing press to produce a series of bespoke printed cards and envelopes.
The workshop focuses on creative experimentation and accessible printmaking processes, with demonstrations and one-to-one guidance provided throughout the session to support participants at every stage. To help make the most of the workshop, participants are encouraged to arrive with a few simple ideas or reference images to develop through print. Suitable for beginners and those interested in sustainable creative practice.
Materials Required:
An old apron or shirt as you will be using inks
Sketchbook of ideas that you may wish to transfer into print
Black Permanent Marker (fine liner)
Hobby knife or craft knife
Graphite pencil including 6B
Please wear covered shoes when in the workshop as we will be using sharp equipment
Tutor Bio:
Louise Anderson is a local artist and printmaker whose practice explores nature and the natural world through alternative photographic and printmaking techniques. Drawing inspiration from landscape, texture and organic forms, her work combines experimental processes with close observation and material exploration.
Louise holds an MA from Kingston School of Art and exhibits her work both locally and internationally. Alongside her studio practice, she is currently undertaking yoga teacher training, reflecting an ongoing interest in mindfulness, movement and connection to the environment. Through her workshops, she encourages participants to slow down, observe closely and experiment creatively with materials and processes.
