We are looking for a Live Events Producer to join our small and friendly team at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington and help shape the next chapter of our live programme.
The Landmark has big ambitions for its creative future. We want to continue growing an exciting and eclectic programme that combines artists audiences know and love with opportunities to discover something new – creating events that surprise, inspire and bring people together.
Working closely with the General Manager, the new role of Live Events Producer will play an important role in developing the Landmark’s programme of live music, comedy, spoken word, theatre, family performance and multidisciplinary work and work to surprise the Landmark audiences.
You’ll research artists and new programming opportunities, make recommendations and help us build a programme up to 18 months ahead that balances artistic ambition, audience development and financial viability. You’ll also look for opportunities to make the most of our extraordinary Grade II* listed building, develop collaborations and partnerships, and explore festivals, installations and special projects that connect live performance with visual arts and creative learning.
Alongside the creative side of the role, you’ll take responsibility for much of the detailed administration that turns great ideas into successful events – working with artists, agents and promoters, coordinating contracts and event advances, gathering marketing material, monitoring sales and helping manage settlements and event finances.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, curious and enthusiastic about live performance, with a genuine interest in discovering new artists and ideas. You’ll understand that a successful arts programme needs to combine creative ambition with commercial thinking and audience development.
Experience within an arts venue, theatre, music venue, festival, promoter or similar organisation would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the UK touring landscape and relationships with artists, agents or promoters – but above all, we’re looking for someone excited by the opportunity to help shape where the Landmark goes next.
Hours: 2.5 days per week – working pattern to be discussed
Salary: £14,430 per annum (£28,860 FTE)
