Teddington Choral Society and its Musical Director, Julian Collings are delighted to announce their forthcoming Christmas concert: When Icicles Hang.

The programme promises to create a performance full of magic and Christmas spirit.

◦      Cantata No 140 by Johann Sebastian Bach, also known as Sleepers Awake. Bach composed this very popular church cantata in Leipzig for the 27 Sunday after Trinity and he first performed it on 25 November 1731.

◦       A Winter’s Night by Cecilia McDowall. A five movements Christmas cantata, which incorporates several much-loved carol melodies.

◦       When Icicles Hang by John Rutter. A set of choral settings based on words from Campion, Shakespeare and Anon.

◦       Selection of audience participation Christmas carols.

This festive performance will feature their new accompanist Conal Bembridge-Sayers. Experience this exciting new addition to the group first-hand, ticket details listed below.
